Fundamentals

Our fundamentals classes are designed to teach core concepts to beginners. They are required for all white belts and recommended to advanced practitioners as well. Students will learn the concepts of grips, base, and posture, while mastering critical attacking and defending techniques. Once students have a solid understanding and technical proficiency in the fundamentals, they can attend Advanced classes with the approval of Professor Giva Santana.

Advanced

Advanced classes are designed to focus on progressive attacks and defenses. Here students will focus on techniques and strategy, as well as developing a personal training ‘game’ based on their abilities and skill set. Advanced classes are open to any rank equivalent to blue belt and above. Both Fundamental and Advanced classes welcome hobbyists as well as those interested in tournament competitions.

NoGi

NoGi Jiu Jitsu combines the practices of traditional wrestling with the techniques of BJJ. Although a student can easily adapt most Gi techniques to NoGi training, the NoGi practitioner must learn how to control their opponent without the use of the Kimono. Stripping the practitioner of Gi allows for a more fast paced game, which demands speed and control from both participants. Furthermore, this game is easily translatable to Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) practice and competition.
